Under the High Patronage of H.E. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Winner of the Super Prize Great Builder – Babacar NDIAYE Trophy 2024.
We cordially invite you to participate in Africa’s most prestigious event dedicated to road and transportation.
“Transport in Africa: Services and Development”
This edition focuses on transport services as a driver of economic and social development in Africa. It explores topics ranging from accessibility and transport provision to financing, market management, and overall transport policy administration. It also considers user experiences—whether as private individuals or professionals—because transport affects us all.
In 2025, The Africa Road Builders – Trophée Babacar NDIAYE Conferences aim to assess the current state of all transport services and the environment in which these services are provided across Africa, while fostering discussions on how to improve them. This includes individual and collective transport, as well as private and public transport.
In 2025, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Africa Road Builders – Babacar NDIAYE Trophy. This milestone year also marks the launch of the Summit of Africa’s Great Builders, which will bring together the 10 Heads of State who have won the Babacar NDIAYE Trophy since its inception. This Summit is an invitation from the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, H.E. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who himself was awarded the Super Prize Great Builder – Babacar NDIAYE Trophy in 2024.
The Inaugural Conference will take place at the Pullman Dubai Downtown Hotel from April 23 to 27, 2025. The Final Conference will be held, as every year, on the sidelines of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Annual Meetings in Abidjan from May 26 to 30, 2025.
2025 is thus a symbolic milestone for The Africa Road Builders – Trophée Babacar NDIAYE, reaffirming its role as a platform for strategic thinking and action in favor of roads and transport in Africa. 2025 is your year!
